Dear friends,

As we face yet another series of catastrophes, I hope you will join me tomorrow at 1pm EST to discuss poetic responses to disaster in revolutionary feminist and queer art movements of the Arab world. I am offering a workshop with Foreign Objekt where we will review poetry, music, performances and videos, as well as theoretical texts by Denise Ferreira da Silva (my PhD advisor and a huge inspiration!), Samia Halaby, and more, reimagining art criticism ‘after the end of the world,’ following Sun Ra’s prophetic legacy.
